This trip happened over a month ago and I hate that I have already forgotten some things, so I’ll just share the highlights!
We took the train from Toulouse into Barcelona, which for an American, was a novel and exciting thing (there was a bar cart!) The train ride was an easy and scenic 3 hours. We arrived at Barcelona Sants and took the metro a few stops to our Airbnb, situated on La Rambla. It was an exciting area for nightlife, but very touristy. I think next time, we’ll stay in Gracia.
After arriving at the Airbnb around 1pm, we set out to explore
We walked all over creation that first day. After a disco nap, we woke up ravenous. Tapas was the obvious choice!
After that, we walked to nearby Placa Reial for cava and flamenco dancing – both were AMAZING.
In the morning, we got up early to wander through La Boqueria and walk to the water.
For the last night, we splurged and went to a fancy rooftop bar, Alaire. It’s always fun pretending to be rich 😉
We LOVED Barcelona and we’ll be back!
